What makes Turkish towels different from traditional towels?

How should I wash my Turkish towels?
For best results, soak your Turkish towel in cold water overnight before its first wash. Machine wash in cold or warm water with like colors using a mild detergent. Avoid bleach and fabric softeners, which can affect absorbency. Tumble dry on low or hang to dry. With proper care, your Turkish towels will become softer and more absorbent over time.
